Untold Stories of the Forgotten Fields

Oil painting series

Ukraine has long been an agricultural miracle, feeding half of Europe with its fertile soil. Fields of wheat, barley, and sunflowers once thrived, but now, they bear scars—fires from missile strikes, hidden mines, and unburied remains. This series aims to give a voice to these landscapes, telling their untold stories. The devastation unfolding in the heart of Europe feels surreal, yet these fields, once a lifeline, now struggle to survive.

Through bold colors and layers, I highlight the resilience of the land amidst despair, blending realism with abstraction to capture both its complexity and hope. This series serves as a reminder: the destruction of Ukraine’s fields is a global crisis, revealing the fragility of our food systems. My paintings aim to preserve their memory, raise awareness, and inspire resilience for future generations.

Contemporary art uncovers histories and voices embedded in landscapes. My story, rooted in loss and hope, reflects the will to endure.
